CBD: basics
Unless you have been living under a rock for the past five years, you have heard of CBD and possibly know a thing or two about it. Well I’m here to give you a little more info on the matter.

Disclaimer: I am not saying I know all there is to know about CBD. I am simply laying out my opinion, some research, and letting you decide what is best for you and your own. Only love here!
My first tip for you is to do your OWN research. Don’t rely on some joe shmoe on Facebook (or even ME) to give you the facts. Make sure you’re getting your info from legitimate places. (Google Scholar is a good place to start). And this goes for anything, especially things that you are putting into your or your loved ones bodies. Take the time to understand what you are getting in to.
Yes, CBD is legal– since 2018. CBD gummies can help with things like pain, sleep, and inflammation. It can also help with stress, depression, and even PTSD. CBD does not make you feel “high” because it does not have psychoactive properties. I don’t know about y’all, but I do not have the desire to feel high. However, if you do, they make CBD + THC which works well for a lot of people!
CBD, aka cannabidiol, is taken from hemp. Hemp has very little THC in it (0.3% or less). Once CBD gummies are consumed, it takes about 30 minutes to kick in and effects can last up to five hours.
You can also use CBD in oil form, topicals, bath bombs, vapes, honey sticks (think coffee and tea- yum!), and even treats for your pets (separation anxiety, etc.).
If you Click here, you can see the brand my family and I have been using for years! I even have a promo code Lindsay20 to get 20% all of your orders forever and ever!! They also have promo codes ALL the time on the website for sometimes up to 35%!! That includes all sale items.

The brand that I purchase from has a 100% satisfaction guarantee policy, and a 30 day return policy.
CBD can help with many different ailments. My husband mainly uses it for sleep and pain. I typically use it for stress and to decrease inflammation. We have an entire shelf dedicated to CBD products in our kitchen cabinet.
I would love to answer any questions or concerns that you may have regarding CBD products or give you additional resources so that you can be informed. You can comment below or go to my contact tab for other ways to reach out.
When researching CBD products, you want to make sure the company is GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) certified, third party lab tested, and organic & domestic. You want quality vs quantity when it comes to what you are putting into your body. It is the only body we get, so take care of it!!
This will not be the only post I make about CBD, so stay on the look out!

Mom must-haves! The things you don’t think about!
New mom? About to be a mom? About to add another little to the mix? Let’s talk about some must-haves for those first few months with your bundle of joy.
Haakaa
You have probably heard of the manual breast pump the haakaa. Super simple, easy to use AND clean. I’ve used it for both babies and it gives me that freezer stash we all love. At least three times throughout the day I would put it on the side that my baby was not feeding off of to collect the milk. I would put it all in the fridge and at the end of the day I combined it and put it in a baggie in the freezer. No extra pumping or time plugged into a wall. Check it out here!
Baby Carrier
My second child is needy and loves to be held. Having a baby carrier is a good way to be able to get some things done as well as make your baby content. I have a fabric one as well as a more structured one. The structured one here has lasted through two kids and my husband likes to wear it which is a plus!
This baby wrap is awesome. It is very simple to put on. Both of these are very affordable and durable!
Baby Tracker App
As a nurse, I like to document- one of my many habits. With a baby tracking app, it can keep up for you when you last fed the baby, what You fed them, how much, how long. It also can help you track sleep, wet diapers, and weights among other things. This helps me to find patterns and anticipate what my baby wants or needs at certain times. We do not have set schedules at home and feed on demand, but it is helpful to tell the daycare the schedule they have gotten into. I use Baby Tracker app. It’s simple and has everything on one page.
Cleaning Supplies
I use Medela Micro-Steam Bags almost daily. You put a much as you can fit into the bag with two ounces of water and stick in the microwave. Your stuff is sanitized in 90 seconds. I use it for pump parts, baby bottles, pacifiers, you name it. No boiling a pot of water and having to remember how long your stuff has been in it, having to fish it out of super hot water, and being worried your kids are going to get burned while you’re doing it.
Along with the bags, Quick Wipes are awesome! You can quickly clean pump parts in between sessions when at work or sometimes I use them as an extra clean before or after soap and water if I’m not sterilizing that day.
I have SO many more things to share with y’all. I hope y’all can find something that helps you in this. And I would be happy to explain more in depth about any of these products.
Thanks for stopping by!! Xoxox Lindsay
