Day 2 of self care
Self care
We always focus on New Year resolutions every year. But I have something better for you.
Let’s end the old year right so that we don’t even need to make a resolution for January 1st.
I’m leading YOU in a five day self care challenge.
Now, don’t let the word “challenge” scare you. The tasks aren’t difficult. But it will get you out of your normal routine and get you to take care of all aspects of your body in the last 5 days of the year.
We need to go out with a bang!
I’ll post each days challenge on here so you can keep up with loving yourself.
Hit the follow so you don’t miss a day!
And brownie points if you comment with what you chose to do to take care of yourself each day.

New me in 2023
Just imagine, January 1st comes and you feel ready and prepared for a new year!
For growth and change to really take root there needs to be change that takes place outside of simple action.
If you are looking to walk into the new year ready to make big changes but want to make sure you are prepared, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, as well as physically we have a simple challenge just for you!
We are kicking off our Mommy Matters group with a Self Care focused five day challenge that will help you prepare for the new year.
We know that as moms, our own wellness is often the last thing we consider. But imagine all the ways your motherhood can improve if you really start feeling your best.
Simply like this post and drop a comment saying “add me” and I will get you added!!
Start your day off right!
Where do I see myself in ten years?

Wow. Just the thought of ten years from now is kind of scary.
I hope to grow in our church more and build the foundation of God within my children.
I will have a pre-teen and a teenager. Omg.
I will be finished with school (hopefully).
I will be living in my dream home.
I have big plans y’all.
Honestly I haven’t thought much about the future. I live day by day and set small short term goals usually. But I guess those short term goals are small battles too overcome so I can complete my big goals.
I believe God has a plan for me and my family, and I am allowing him to guide me and help me make the choices to live a life that glorifies Him.
So I want to know.. what is your 10 year plan?? It can be big or small, doesn’t matter. Let me know!! Let’s hold each other accountable.

Writers block(ed) by life
My head isn’t really in it (this blog) this week.
Because life.
Because I’m a full time working mom with a baby that still gets up every 2 hours at night.
I’m tired, I’m spread thin, and I’m just barely making it.
Laundry needs to be put away, dishes done, toys picked up, etc etc etc. The list of things to do is always there, it’s just a bit longer than usual right now.
I’m currently writing this while nursing my daughter. There’s always something to do. So this page has to go to the back burner. I have tiny humans who need me. A husband who needs me present. A God that needs me to study his word and spread the Good News to the world. Can there be more hours in the day???
If you are feeling overwhelmed and have 649372939 things you need to do.. you are not alone. and I’m here to tell you it’s okay! It won’t always feel like this. YOU GOT THIS.
Side note; the podcast I follow and listen to regularly posted this and I just listened to it. And HOW fitting is it?? Give yourself grace. I want y’all to listen to it if you are struggling with anything right now.
In other news, I’m going to be starting this awesome exercise and meal program next week (hopefully). Its included free with the company I get my health supplements from so I am excited about all the perks with no extra cost. That definitely takes a weight off of me. Cause who can really afford anything extra these days.
I think I’m done with my rant.. for now!
Anyone interested in doing this 12 week workout plan with me? It’s always easier (and funner) when you have an accountability partner.
Love you guys, thanks for sticking with me. Next posts will be better I promise!

Leave the dishes.

It can be so easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of every day life. The wake up, work, come home, dinner, prepare for the next day, sleep, repeat. It gets monotonous and repetitive. Where’s the fun? It’s important to find the joy in each day.
We are not put on this beautiful earth to just do chores every day. Do we all aspire to have a clean, organized space? Of course. Is there constant flow of dirty clothes, dishes, and trash? Yep.
BUT we need to take the take to enjoy life. When your kid(s) ask to play with you, I hope you say yes more than you say no.
Leave the dishes. Play superhero’s, or princesses. Go outside and explore, play in the dirt. Make your kids smile and laugh and show them the good parts of life.
Leave the dishes. Go on a date with your significant other, or go shopping with a good friend. Take the time to let go and remember the good.
Having a clean living space makes my brain happy, don’t get me wrong! And who knows, I might be the only person that has a hard time letting go of the cleaning sometimes and just relax and enjoy friends and family. If not, I’m here to tell you you are NOT alone.
“Always be joyful.”
https://bible.com/bible/116/1th.5.16.NLT
1 Thessalonians 5:16 NLT
Notice it says “always be joyful” not always be cleaning or always stress about chores.
“A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person’s strength.”
https://bible.com/bible/116/pro.17.22.NLT
Proverbs 17:22 NLT
I hope y’all have a great day, and leave the dishes.
