Never stop working on yourself

Never stop working on yourself

Never stop working on yourself.

Physically, mentally, spiritually.

I know personally the past year has been a year of tremendous growth!

I’ve faced obstacles that no one should have to battle, but those obstacles have become easier by growing closer to God.

Every day I choose to focus on the things I am grateful for and what ways can I grow.

So, set those goals, surround yourself with positivity, seek out new experiences and challenges, and don’t forget to celebrate along the way!

My head isn’t really in it (this blog) this week.

Because life.

Because I’m a full time working mom with a baby that still gets up every 2 hours at night.

I’m tired, I’m spread thin, and I’m just barely making it.

Laundry needs to be put away, dishes done, toys picked up, etc etc etc. The list of things to do is always there, it’s just a bit longer than usual right now.

I’m currently writing this while nursing my daughter. There’s always something to do. So this page has to go to the back burner. I have tiny humans who need me. A husband who needs me present. A God that needs me to study his word and spread the Good News to the world. Can there be more hours in the day???

If you are feeling overwhelmed and have 649372939 things you need to do.. you are not alone. and I’m here to tell you it’s okay! It won’t always feel like this. YOU GOT THIS.

Side note; the podcast I follow and listen to regularly posted this and I just listened to it. And HOW fitting is it?? Give yourself grace. I want y’all to listen to it if you are struggling with anything right now.

In other news, I’m going to be starting this awesome exercise and meal program next week (hopefully). Its included free with the company I get my health supplements from so I am excited about all the perks with no extra cost. That definitely takes a weight off of me. Cause who can really afford anything extra these days.

I think I’m done with my rant.. for now!

Anyone interested in doing this 12 week workout plan with me? It’s always easier (and funner) when you have an accountability partner.

Love you guys, thanks for sticking with me. Next posts will be better I promise!

I feel it in my gut

I feel it in my gut

I love being a nurse, specifically a GI/Endoscopy nurse.

I am passionate about GUTS and BUTTS!

Did you know your whole body revolves around your gut? There have been a lot of studies published recently about just how important gut health is. By targeting gut health, we can restore balance in our bodies.

If you’re like me, a busy working mom, you eat more fast food and easy meals than you would like. Without supplements, I don’t get the amount of nutrients my body needs to function at it’s best.

Things that cause imbalance of gut bacteria include sugar, alcohol, antibiotics, and some OTC medications. What’s even worse is artificial sugars (Spenda) KILL up to half of your good bacteria. (I bet all of us ate or drank something that contained fake sugars today alone.

Now, the big kicker is the Candida. It’s a yeast that we all have in our bodies. It’s supposed to stay dormant until the end of life process. However, when we consume processed foods, sugars, and alcohol, the candida feeds off of it and grows (yuck)!

What happens with too much Candida? Weight gain, anxiety, mood swings, reflux, fatigue, trouble sleeping, and soooo much more.

Are you shocked? Do you want to learn how to fix it??

Comment below or follow me and I will help YOU through and get your body back on track!!! Let’s get healthy together!!

Just me

Just me

Hey there! My name is Lindsay. I’m just your average God loving nurse and mom of two living in rural VA. I seem to always come across deals, steals, and awesome life hacks and I wanted some way to share them with the world. Whether it be hacks for moms, babies, toddlers, wives- you name it, it’s going to be here! I am so excited to share and have a way to talk to y’all and hopefully make life easier and more enjoyable. So buckle up and enjoy the ride!
